“We teach what we need to know.”
~Richard Bach
What I know for sure:
- Everyone deserves and is capable of having a happy and meaningful life.
- Change your thoughts, change your life, change the world.
- When you take ownership of your life and allow your best self to lead, you not only benefit yourself, but everyone around you.
- You already have everything you need within yourself.
- There is no such thing as a tiny-act every action matters. Small actions=big change.
- The possibilities are endless.
I’ve been on a journey to self-awareness and inner peace for many years. I’ve read countless self-help, spiritual, psychological and philosophical books over the last 20-plus years. I’ve taken courses, workshops, had therapy been coached, meditated, and have done The Work. I’m certified in Zen Shiatsu and Cranio Sacral therapy. I’ve had the privilege of training with well renowned Master Coaches while getting my certification as a Martha Beck Life coach. I’ve also had the honor of coaching Dr. Martha Beck herself-a life changing experience!
What I have discovered is that I have the power to set my life on the course that’s right for me. I can choose awareness over numbing. I can choose authenticity over perfectionism. I can choose to be kind to myself instead of beating myself up. I can choose compassion over criticism. I can choose to take care of and love my body instead of punish and blame it. I can choose to set healthy boundaries instead of people pleasing. I can choose to fill up my bucket instead of letting it get to empty. I choose to see mistakes as a learning opportunity instead of a reason to beat myself up. I can choose to examine my thoughts instead of letting my thoughts run me. I can choose joy, love and fun over pain. I CAN CHOOSE.
I’ve also learned that at the core of most of our issues of stress, perfectionism, poor body image, depression etc… lies a sense of unworthiness. A sense that somehow there is something wrong with us and everyone else has got it all figured out. An image that is mass marketed by advertising that is almost inescapable. I’ve learned that we all are amazing and beautiful and fabulous in our own unique ways. When we develop a practice of going deep within ourselves, we can let our light shine through and feel proud to be exactly who we are. That’s when the magic happens and our lives become extraordinary.
I am a mother of two daughters who I adore with every fiber of my being. Being a Mom to two girls has deepened my passion for not only empowering women, but empowering girls. I have a passion for teaching girls tools early in life that help them make positive choices in their lives and sets the groundwork for them to take charge and create a life for themselves that will speak to their soul and honor who they are. I am inspired as a Coach for Girls on the Run teaching girls ages 8-10 about self worth, empowerment, kindness, friendship, being healthy and trusting their inner wisdom. We tell the girls “Be Yourself, Have Fun and Do Your Best!” I’m also proud to be a facilitator for “Girl Talk” a local program that is inspired by the conscious kids curriculum, which teaches in depth tools to girls in grades 3-5 about how to explore who they are and how to navigate interpersonal relationships in a healthy and assertive way.
The tools and philosophies I learned from the all of my studies and training have been both life changing for myself and for my clients. I am more content, joyful and peaceful in life and with myself than I ever have been. I love being a Life Coach. I love having authentic conversations with people and watching as they release old patterns and take steps toward a life that honors their authentic selves. I feel honored to be a part of that sacred process.
